Once I finished reading Adrift in the Sound from Kate Campbell I was at a loss on how to describe it, that is until I took a look at the books description on Amazon which says: "It’s a story about fighting the tides, surviving the storm, and swimming for shore." and I couldn't say it any better. I found the story "highly educational" with a few moments that left me shocked. Kate doesn't hold back, and tells it as she see's it. I would defy anyone to say that there isn't some part that they connect with.
