OVERTHROWN - The Dream Fades (RAVENFEAST)

OVERTHROWN - The Dream Fades (RAVENFEAST) - Alan Robert Lancaster After reviewing Alan's first book, Ravenfeast, I was a little apprehensive about reviewing this one. I found the first book extremely difficult to follow and heavy. So I was pleasantly surprised when I realised that Overthrown had no such issues! I found this book much easier to understand and follow, even enjoying it much more.

The characters follow through from the first book so there is very little character buildup. That being said, you can understand what they are all saying, and can imagine being there with them, although I wouldn't want to be there!

Ivar is the main character and still the best of the lot, you feel his anger, fear and excitement throughout, he is a very well written guy!

The story is a good pace, eventful and historically correct. Overall, Overthrown isn't a bad read.
